HC removes bizman Harsh Kilachand as executor of father’s Will, upholds retired judge’s appointment

Bombay High Court upheld removal of businessman Harsh Kilachand as executor of his late father Rajnikant Kilachand's Will due to failure to administer and distribute the estate.

Court confirmed appointment of retired Allahabad High Court chief justice Dilip Bhosale to administer and distribute the Kilachand family estate.

Harsh Kilachand's prolonged inaction deprived his mother Ramila Kilachand of her rightful share as a beneficiary under the Will.

Removal was sought by Harsh's younger brother Amrish Kilachand, alleging gross misconduct and mismanagement of the estate.

Court cited Harsh's non-compliance with a January 29, 2025 order as wilful disregard of court directions.
