UP: Youth dies after assault; family block road demanding action in Mirzapur

Shivmohan, a 20-year-old resident of Bangali Chauraha in Vindhyachal, died after an alleged assault on July 12.

He was allegedly called by Amit Kesharwani and paid ₹200 to identify water sources, then assaulted near Deorahwa Baba Ashram.

Shivmohan succumbed to injuries on July 20 at a private hospital in Varanasi; his family blocked a road in Mirzapur demanding action.

A case has been registered under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 3 of the SC/ST Act.
