Delhi HC grants Cong leaders 3 weeks to respond to ED plea in National Herald case

Delhi High Court granted three weeks to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others to respond to the Enforcement Directorate's petition challenging a special court's order in the National Herald money laundering case.

The ED's petition argues that special judge Vishal Gogne erred in declining to take cognisance of the chargesheet, claiming the trial court gave a 'hall pass' to money launderers.

The trial court had ruled that the ED's prosecution complaint under PMLA must be based on a scheduled offence registered by a law enforcement agency, not a private complaint.
