As 18-storey tower in Bengaluru tilts, geotechnical consultant says foundation advice was ignored

An 18-storey tower in Bengaluru is tilting due to ignored foundation advice from a geotechnical consultant.

The loose fill in parts of the former quarry, comprising soil, brickbats and construction debris, extended to depths of nearly 12 metres.

The consultant recommended pile foundations in those locations, but the advice was ignored.
