  1. MSRDC is finalising land acquisition estimates for a 104-km expressway linking Vadhvan Port in Palghar to Samruddhi Mahamarg near Igatpuri.

  2. The expressway will begin at Bharvir Khurd near Igatpuri on Samruddhi Mahamarg and connect to National Highway 48 at Tawa village near Charoti, with NHAI developing the Charoti-to-Vadhvan Port stretch.

  3. MSRDC is seeking Coastal Regulation Zone clearance as portions of the alignment fall within coastal zones.

  4. The expressway aims to reduce travel time between Igatpuri and Vadhvan Port to about 1 hour 15 minutes, improving freight movement from central Maharashtra to the west coast by bypassing Mumbai's congested roads.

  5. The corridor supports development of Vadhvan deep-sea port and potential greenfield airport, creating a major logistics and industrial hub.
