Pune: Sinhagad Fort Closed For Tourists On August 1-2 Amid Red Alert And Landslide Risk

Sinhagad Fort in Pune will be closed to tourists on August 1 and 2 due to a Red Alert and landslide risk.

The Pune Forest Division announced the closure after continuous heavy rainfall increased the risk of landslides in and around the fort.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy rainfall across Pune district over the weekend.

The Deputy Conservator of Forests, Pune Forest Division, ordered the closure as a precautionary measure to ensure visitor safety.

Tourists are urged to avoid the fort area and not attempt to enter via alternate routes during the closure.
