'Govt forgets when donations are stolen': Congress defends Rahul Gandhi after Ram Mandir skit FIR
Congress leader Pawan Khera defended Rahul Gandhi after an FIR was registered against him and other opposition MPs over a protest linked to alleged misuse of Ram Temple donations.
The FIR was lodged by Varanasi Police following a complaint by a group of seers over a skit staged in the Parliament complex, involving Pappu Yadav dressed as a temple priest.
Khera said the government was filing cases against MPs while overlooking allegations related to temple donations, stating 'when donations are stolen, it also hurts the sentiments of devotees.'
BJP leaders, including Bansuri Swaraj, filed complaints in Delhi, accusing the opposition leaders of hurting Hindu religious sentiments.
Khera also supported Rahul Gandhi's remarks opposing the proposed delimitation exercise, which Gandhi said was a BJP conspiracy to disenfranchise people in Tamil Nadu.
