‘Not an inch built, ₹3000 cr siphoned’: Yogi slams SP over Purvanchal Expressway

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the previous Samajwadi Party government of corruption in the Purvanchal Expressway project, alleging ₹3,000 crore was siphoned off and no work was done.

Adityanath inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 268 development projects worth ₹692 crore in Ghazipur, benefiting constituencies including Ghazipur, Jakhania, Mohammadabad, Saidpur, Zamania, Zahoorabad, and Jangipur.

He criticized SP leaders for honoring foreign invader Salar Masood Ghazi and for patronizing mafia figures, contrasting it with his government's zero-tolerance policy.

Adityanath said the BJP government reviewed the Purvanchal Expressway project, conducted fresh land acquisition and realignment before completing it.

He highlighted that under his government, UP witnesses celebrations rather than riots and curfews, and assured tough action against those disrupting peace and youth employment.
