Marina Mabrey, Tempo seek upset in rematch vs. Valkryies

Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo face the Golden State Valkyries in a rematch on Sunday night in San Francisco.

The Valkyries beat the Tempo 83-75 on July 8 in Toronto, with Janelle Salaun scoring 26 points.

Mabrey, an All-Star, has averaged 21.9 points over her last seven games but totaled just 11 points in the earlier loss to Golden State.

The Tempo have lost five straight, and they traded for Aneesah Morrow, who averaged 11.6 points with Connecticut this season.

The Valkyries are on a two-game losing streak but previously responded to losing streaks with four- and nine-game winning streaks.
