Pune: Villoo Poonawalla Hospital CEO Booked For Threatening Deceased Patients Family With Gun Over Unpaid

Dr Lajpatray Arya, CEO of Villoo Poonawalla Memorial Hospital in Hadapsar, was booked for allegedly threatening a deceased patient's family with a firearm over unpaid medical bills.

The family claimed Dr Arya pointed a gun at them inside his office during a dispute about payment, and no CCTV was installed in the office.

CCTV footage from outside the office reportedly shows Dr Arya carrying a firearm, and the family submitted an audio recording where a hospital bouncer admits the confrontation occurred.

Hadapsar Police registered a case and are investigating; Dr Arya has not been detained yet.
