BITS Pilani Convocation 2026: 1500+ degrees conferred, Archith Casheekar receives gold medal

BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus conferred over 1,500 degrees at its Convocation 2026, including 1,200 First Degree, nearly 200 Higher Degree, and over 100 Ph.D. programs.

Archith Casheekar received the Gold Medal, Alok Desai the Silver Medal, and Shreya Kunjankumar Mehta the Bronze Medal among First Degree graduates.

BigBasket co-founder Hari Menon served as chief guest; the ceremony was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao.

The campus secured 116 sponsored research projects worth ₹37.90 crore and faculty published 1,968 research papers in the 2025-26 academic year.

Over 750 students secured job offers with a median annual compensation of ₹20 lakh, with recruiters from technology, semiconductor, and finance sectors.
