Lake Mead drought reveals bodies and old mysteries

Drought decreased Lake Mead water levels, exposing hidden items from the lakebed since 2022.

At least six sets of human remains have been recovered, including a suspected homicide victim found in a barrel near Hemenway Harbor on May 1, 2022.

Thomas Erndt, missing since 2002, was identified among the remains; others remain under investigation.

Abandoned boats, military relics, and forgotten infrastructure also emerged as the shoreline receded.
