An FIR was registered in April 2025 against Kader Ahmed Qureshi and Anant Koli under the Environment (Protection) Act.

Eight to ten encroachments were demolished in May 2025, and further demolition occurred in February 2026.

The Commission held that official inaction was adequately addressed through criminal cases and demolitions.
