Case Registered Against BJP MLC C.T. Ravi Over Alleged Hate Speech

BJP MLC and former Karnataka minister C.T. Ravi was booked by Chikkamagaluru Town police for alleged hate speech.

The case was registered based on a complaint by Jamia Masjid president Mudasir Pasha, who said Ravi's remarks targeted the Muslim community and could disturb communal harmony.

Ravi's speech, delivered at a 'Youth for Nation' programme in Chikkamagaluru, criticized Muslim participation in NEET controversy protests.

Police are investigating under provisions related to promoting enmity and disturbing communal harmony, and will issue a notice to Ravi for questioning.
