Mumbai Weather Update: City Wakes Up To Cloudy Skies, Light Drizzle, No Rain Alert Issued Today; AQI Remains

Mumbai experienced cloudy skies, light drizzle and gusty winds on Tuesday morning with no rain alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD forecast generally cloudy skies with light rainfall, but isolated pockets may see moderate to heavy showers with wind speeds of 40-50 kmph.

The Santacruz observatory recorded 1,883.9 mm of rainfall this monsoon, 26% higher than the same period last year, accounting for 81.24% of average annual rainfall.

The Colaba observatory recorded 1,590.3 mm of rainfall this season, 31% higher than the same period in 2025, reaching 75.91% of average annual rainfall.

Mumbai's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 36 on Tuesday morning, remaining in the 'Good' category (0-50).
