Supreme Court grants Omar Abdullah divorce after settlement with estranged wife Payal
The Supreme Court granted a divorce to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah from his estranged wife Payal Abdullah after the couple settled their matrimonial dispute through mediation.
The couple jointly filed an application under Article 142 of the Constitution seeking dissolution of their marriage by mutual consent.
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal informed the bench of Justices P S Narasimha and Alok Aradhe that the dispute had been settled and the joint application was filed on July 22.
