Over a dozen suspects of Indian origin, including Gagandeep Thindal and Simranjit Singh, are among those charged.

Nearly 1.7 tonnes of illegal drugs (cocaine, methamphetamine, opium) were seized, valued at approximately $99.4 million.

The investigation, dubbed Project Bay, involved Ontario Provincial Police, Canadian Border Services Agency, and US agencies like Homeland Security Investigations.

A broker-style model in the commercial transportation sector was used to traffic drugs across the border via legitimate supply chains.
