  1. The Kengeri-Hejjala railway under bridge (RUB) opens on July 25, 2026, ending a seven-month closure of the level crossing between Kengeri and Hejjala stations.

  2. Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna will inaugurate the RUB, restoring the road link between Ramohalli-Dodda Alada Mara Road and Bengaluru-Mysuru highway.

  3. South Western Railway completed the underbridge in less than seven months, ahead of the initial one-year schedule.

  4. The closure had forced residents of Ramohalli, Kumbalgodu, Bheemanakuppe, and Big Banyan Tree areas to travel 7-10 km detours, extending a 10-minute commute to nearly an hour.

  5. Over 500 industries in and around Kumbalgodu will benefit, as heavy trucks and commercial vehicles had damaged village roads and infrastructure during the diversion.
