Neeraj Chopra, India's javelin ace, wins silver at Commonwealth Games 2026; Yash Vir Singh takes home bronze

Neeraj Chopra won silver in the men's javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow with a throw of 85.83m.

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage took gold with a throw of 89.75m, while India's Yash Vir Singh won bronze with 85.41m.

India's Rohit Yadav finished seventh; Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem placed ninth.

Chopra's silver is his second CWG medal after gold in 2018 in Gold Coast.

This marked the first time two Indians finished on the podium in the javelin throw event at the CWG.
