Chandigarh man dies by suicide, wife, accomplice booked

year-old e-rickshaw driver from Mauli Complex died by suicide in Chandigarh.

Police registered a case against his wife and her alleged partner under Section 108 (abetment of suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The victim had been under mental stress after his wife allegedly left the matrimonial home a week before the incident.

The wife was allegedly in a relationship with a 20-year-old man; family efforts to resolve the matter failed.

The victim was found hanging at his home on July 22 and declared dead at Civil Hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula.
