India’s Youth Hockey5s win a boost for the game in Uttar Pradesh

India's men's Youth Hockey5s team, led by Ketan Kushwaha, won the championship title in Oman by defeating Pakistan 3-1.

The victory secured India's qualification for the inaugural FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup.

Kushwaha, who also captained India to the Men's U18 Asia Cup victory last month, scored 18 goals in the tournament.

The team included five players from Uttar Pradesh: Shahrukh Ali, Romit Pal, Prahlad Rajbhar, Rahul Yadav, and Kushwaha, highlighting the state's hockey development.

Prahlad Rajbhar served as the defensive backbone with timely interceptions, while Romit Pal provided midfield composure and ball distribution.
