School logo on T-shirt helps cops crack missing child case

An eight-year-old boy with special needs, Shahbaz, wandered 1.5 km from his home in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai, and was found crying near a tea stall by Police Naik Avinash Misal.

Misal identified the boy using the logo on his T-shirt, which read 'Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Hindi School, Jogeshwari East, Mumbai'.

Teacher Laksh Kumar Nandeshwar at the BMC school provided the boy's records, revealing he now studied at Sopan Special English Medium School.

Teacher Neha Tendulkar at Sopan Special English Medium School identified the boy and shared his parents' details, enabling police to reunite him with his family within two hours.

The boy's father, Riyaz Ahmed Akbar Ali Ansari, confirmed Shahbaz went missing around 3 pm while playing outside; his mother was occupied in the kitchen at the time.
