Aiden Markram not bothered by vacant LSG captaincy: ‘They can decide whatever they think is best’

Aiden Markram said he is not concerned about the vacant LSG captaincy role, stating the franchise can decide whatever they think is best.

Markram is currently captain of Manchester Super Giants in the Hundred, which is co-owned by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, owners of LSG.

Mitchell Marsh is another candidate for the LSG captaincy, having scored 467 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 162.15 in the last IPL season.

Markram's chances for the LSG captaincy may increase if he leads Manchester Super Giants to a strong finish in the Hundred.

The LSG captaincy became vacant after Rishabh Pant left for Delhi Capitals after the 2026 season.
