Vegetation fire burns near San Bernardino

The Lynwood Fire, a vegetation blaze, broke out in San Bernardino County, California, on July 16, 2026.

The fire is located north of Sterling Avenue & Foothill Drive, near the Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel.

As of reporting, the fire had grown to 20 acres with a moderate to dangerous rate of spread, and three additional large air tankers were requested.

No structures are threatened, no evacuation orders have been issued, and no injuries have been reported.

The fire could potentially spread to 200–300 acres, according to WatchDuty; the cause is not yet known.
