'Lost faith…': Sonam Wangchuk's wife moves Delhi HC for transfer from Safdarjung Hospital

Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali J Angmo moved Delhi High Court to transfer him from Safdarjung Hospital, citing lost faith in the hospital.

Gitanjali alleged the hospital described Wangchuk's potassium drop to 2.9 as life-threatening but omitted the number from its public bulletin, while an independent lab test reported 3.5.

She accused the hospital of illegal detention, refusing discharge or transfer to a private hospital, with around 30 police on their floor and over 100 in the hospital.

Wangchuk is on hunger strike demanding resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.

Safdarjung Hospital stated Wangchuk receives required medical intervention and requires continuous care, with vital parameters stable at present.
