2 married couples from Honduras were among 5 adults who drowned in an Ohio river

Five adults drowned in the Scioto River near O’Shaughnessy Reservoir in Powell, Ohio.

Among the victims were two married couples from Honduras, one identified as Jose Mario Pineda Dias and Marina Suyapa Regalado.

Fifth adult and the second couple's names were not yet released; U.S. authorities were working to identify all victims.

One adult struggled to swim, and others went into the water to help; all five were swept under.

The couple's children, ages 8 and 10, were in state custody; repatriation of bodies was expected to take at least a month.
