Brittney Griner filed for divorce from Cherelle Griner after nearly eight years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking joint custody of their 2-year-old son Bash.

Glory Johnson is a former WNBA player who was briefly married to Brittney Griner in 2015.

In April 2015, police responded to a domestic violence call at Griner and Johnson's Arizona home; both sustained minor injuries and were suspended for seven games by the WNBA.

Despite the incident, they married in May 2015, but Griner filed for annulment less than a month later.

Johnson later said she married Griner out of love, but felt betrayed by how the marriage turned out.
