Health Dept to introduce e-Health project

Health Minister UT Khader announced the e-Health project to digitize Karnataka's health department.

The project includes paperless hospitals, broadband for PHCs/CHCs/taluk hospitals, and tele-ICU in selected hospitals.

Paperless hospital initiative pilot launched at 40 hospitals, to be extended to 183 hospitals.

e-Health will create complete digital health records for patients, shareable with private hospitals in future.

Tele-ICU project (Rs 30 crore) will connect nurses in taluk hospitals with specialists from private hospitals for critical care.
