Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union education minister after protests by the Cockroach Janta Party and Congress over the NEET-UG paper leak.

The protests ended after the government agreed to take back cases against protesters and provide compensation to families of those who died by suicide.

Rahul Gandhi called the resignation 'one step in a very deep' warning from students and the Opposition.
