India has adequate coal stocks to meet power demand: Ministry of Power

Ministry of Power stated India has adequate coal stocks of 42.8 million tonnes at thermal power plants.

Stocks are sufficient to meet electricity demand for 14 days.

A joint committee is monitoring coal supply on a daily basis to prevent shortages.
