'Still a student, learning every day': Rahul Gandhi's Gen Z-style Friendship Day wish

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, posted on Instagram a Gen Z-style Friendship Day wish using the Korean finger heart gesture.

In his post, he wrote, 'Still a student, still learning something new every day. Today's lesson: it's Friendship Day and this 🫰 is a heart.'

The finger heart is a gesture originating in South Korea, popularized globally through K-pop, K-dramas, and social media, often used to express affection.

Gandhi has been increasing efforts to connect with younger audiences through social media, informal interactions, and youth-focused campaigns like 'Chhatron Ki Goonj'.

He recently urged Gen Z on social media to protect the Constitution and defend democracy, and advised that 'nothing in life is linear'.
