Double-decker bus overturns on Ganga E-way in Sambhal; three killed, 25 injured

A semi-deluxe double-decker bus overturned on the Ganga Expressway in Sambhal district near the Lahrawan Interchange.

The bus was en route from Bahraich to Jalandhar, Punjab, carrying about 150 passengers.

Three passengers — Neha (17), Pintu (36), and Rishabh Singh (35) — were killed, and over 25 were injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate the driver may have fallen asleep, causing the bus to hit the central divider and overturn.

Emergency response teams from UPEIDA, local police, and 108 ambulance service conducted rescue operations.
