HCLTech to invest Rs 14,257 cr in Odisha AI data centre
HCLTech plans to invest Rs 14,257 crore to set up its first AI data centre at Odisha Sovereign AI Park, in partnership with AI startup Sarvam and the Odisha government.
The data centre will combine HCLTech's infrastructure with Sarvam's indigenous foundation models to develop sector-specific AI applications for enterprises, government departments, and public sector organisations.
HCLTech also announced a separate global technology centre in Bhubaneswar to deliver AI-led digital solutions, employing about 5,000 people and expected to begin operations by 2028.
