Scotland's Melanie Woods wins gold twice after Commonwealth Games wheelchair race rerun

Scotland's Melanie Woods won the Commonwealth Games women's T54 1500m gold twice after a rerun, setting a new Games record of 3:32.20.

The rerun was ordered after officials upheld appeals from a crash in the original race, where Canada's Nandini Sharma collided with Mauritius' Noemi Alphonse, causing multiple athletes to fall.

In the restaged final, Woods led from the start and reclaimed the gold, with Noemi Alphonse taking silver and Eliza Ault-Connell bronze.
