Indian-origin couple convicted in UK over Covid PPE fraud that funded £126k Porsche, Rolexes
Jogesh Bhandari and Meenakashi Bhandari were convicted in Leicester Crown Court for Covid-19 PPE fraud that funded a Porsche worth £126,000 and Rolex watches.
Craig Morris was also convicted of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.
The group forged bank statements and used fake letters to claim they could supply millions of boxes of nitrile gloves during the PPE shortage.
Fraud proceeds included luxury spending on Rolex watches, jewellery, holidays, a Porsche, and kitchen renovations.
Sentencing is scheduled for 21 August.
