Mumbai: Tree Branch Triggers Sparks On Harbour Line Train Near Vile Parle, Services Restored In 17 Minutes

in5points
A Harbour Line train from CSMT was disrupted near Vile Parle after a tree branch struck its pantograph, causing sparks.
The incident occurred around 9.30 am, the train resumed at 9.47 am, and services were restored in 17 minutes.
No passengers were injured and there was no major damage to the train.
The incident follows a similar disruption on the Harbour Line near Chembur station a month earlier, where a fallen wire disrupted services for 32 minutes.
These back-to-back incidents highlight the vulnerability of Mumbai's suburban railway network to external obstructions, especially during monsoon.
