Haryana to procure 820 e-rickshaws for gaushalas

Haryana government procured 820 e-rickshaws at over ₹10 crore for livestock management in gaushalas.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the high-powered purchase committee that approved the procurement.

Gaushalas with up to 1,000 cattle will receive one e-rickshaw; those with more will get two.

Haryana has 770 gaushalas; 553 house fewer than 1,000 cattle, and one each holds up to 5,000 and 6,000.

The state also installed solar power plants in over 330 gaushalas, and the Gau Seva Aayog annual budget is about ₹600 crore.
