Heat wave expected to bring record-breaking temps, heighten wildfire risk to parts of Western US

In Montana, the entire east side is under an extreme heat warning, with Great Falls forecast to reach 104°F, surpassing its previous record of 101°F.

The Montana Rescue Mission in Billings opened its doors earlier than usual to provide relief, while Great Falls Parks and Recreation saw crowds at pools and splash pads.
