First of 100 electric buses reaches Gurugram, 25 more set to come in August

  1. First of 100 electric buses supplied under PM e-Bus Sewa scheme reached Gurugram and inducted into Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) fleet.

  2. The fully AC bus with 25 seats will undergo three-day load testing on three routes starting July 24, 2026.

  3. Six charging points at Sector 10 depot can charge 12 buses simultaneously in about 30 minutes.

  4. more electric buses are expected in August 2026 and will be made operational by GMCBL.

  5. Vendor will operate and maintain the buses, paid ₹55.47 per kilometer.
