Ather Energy's Q1 revenue rose 87% year-on-year to Rs 1,260 crore, while its loss narrowed to Rs 51 crore from Rs 178 crore.
The company posted its first positive quarterly EBITDA of Rs 9 crore, compared to an EBITDA loss of Rs 106 crore a year earlier.
Ather sold 83,173 scooters to dealers in Q1, up 81% year-on-year, with retail registrations more than doubling to 90,808 units.
CEO Tarun Mehta said demand exceeded manufacturing capacity, with the Hosur plant near full utilisation, potentially losing 13,000-15,000 units in monthly sales.
The first scooter on Ather's new EL platform, aimed at a more price-sensitive segment, is set to be unveiled this month, with production trials underway at Hosur.
