NIFT-Rae Bareli proposed introducing AI in product design and colour selection at Prayagraj’s Common Facility Centre (CFC).
The ₹3-crore CFC at Phaphamau, established in September 2021, has trained over 450 artisans with modern machinery.
The AI initiative aims to help artisans identify market trends, develop innovative products, and improve appeal in domestic markets.
The CFC purchases products directly from artisans, ensuring steady income of ₹8,000-10,000 per month for over four dozen regular workers.
The proposed AI is expected to strengthen the Chief Minister Mati Kala Rozgar Yojana for reviving Uttar Pradesh’s traditional pottery sector.
