Saif on Agent Vinod failure after co-star accuses him of interference

Saif Ali Khan called 'Agent Vinod' a 'vanity project' and a learning experience after its 2012 failure despite a huge budget.

Actor Lalit Parimoo blamed the film's flop on excessive interference from Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the spy-thriller 'Agent Vinod' also starred Adil Hussain and Ravi Kishan.

In a recent video, Saif said the film 'opened well, but didn't really work,' and that he learned new skills, including martial arts in Vietnam.

Saif told Variety India that the film lacked tight structure and went off track, though the idea was right.
