What Is Reservation Hatao Andolan? Inside The Instagram Campaign Against Caste-Based Quotas

Reservation Hatao Andolan (RHA) is an Instagram-led campaign that demands an end to caste-based reservations in India, arguing that government jobs and college admissions should be based on merit and economic need.

RHA's Instagram account has reportedly crossed 4.3 million followers, making it one of the most visible issue-based digital campaigns on the platform.

A similar account called Reservation Removal Sangh (RSS) has also emerged with an anti-reservation message, though with a smaller following.

The campaign uses slogans such as "Reservation is discrimination" to promote its position and aims to turn the online movement into a larger public protest similar to the Cockroach Janata Party's agitation.

Unlike the Cockroach Janata Party campaign which focused on examination reforms and the NEET-UG controversy, the reservation issue is deeply tied to India's social structure, history, and Constitution, potentially triggering a more complex debate.
