BJP leader’s alleged audio clips targeting women colleagues go viral; FIR registered

Two audio clips allegedly feature BJP North Maharashtra organizing secretary Vijay Chaudhari making derogatory remarks against senior women leaders, including Union minister Raksha Khadse and former MP Heena Gavit.

Nandurbar City police registered an FIR against Chaudhari on July 26 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, following a complaint by Heena's brother Rohan Gavit.

Chaudhari resigned as BJP's North Maharashtra organizing secretary after the clips went viral, and in his resignation letter to state BJP president Ravindra Chavan, he sought an inquiry.

Chaudhari denies the allegations, claiming the audio clips are AI-generated and the voices are not his; he has approached the Nandurbar cyber police for investigation.

Eknath Khadse, Raksha's father, said he would forward the clips to PM Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president Nitin Nabin, and plans to file a complaint in Jalgaon.
