Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde proposed a 'One Patient-One Relative' policy and Visitor Pass Management System for BMC hospitals to reduce overcrowding and improve infection control.

The pilot will be implemented at KEM Hospital, Sion Hospital, and Nair Hospital.

Exemptions are recommended for ICU and critically ill patients on humanitarian grounds.

The policy aims to improve patient care, cleanliness, and working conditions for doctors and nurses.
