PM Modi, Amit Shah laud CRPF for wiping out Naxalism

PM Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah lauded CRPF on its 'Raising Day' for eliminating Left-wing extremism within the March 31, 2026 deadline set by Shah.

CRPF's anti-riot unit RAF is under investigation for alleged use of pump-action guns during a July 20 protest march to Parliament, causing pellet injuries to at least three people.

CRPF launched a probe to assess if pellet use was authorized, justified by conditions, and part of a graded response, with findings to be finalized soon.

Nearly 47 RAF personnel were injured by 'motivated elements' during the protest, with six sustaining head injuries and four fractures.
