Police to form SIT to probe paper leak cases and related offences

Delhi Police formed a Special Task Force (STF) under the Crime Branch to investigate the alleged NEET paper leak and other examination-related offences under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
The STF will probe offences in exams conducted by authorities like UPSC, NTA, SSC, RRBs, and IBPS.
The STF will coordinate with prosecuting agencies to ensure day-to-day trials in such cases.
The task force was approved by Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar amid protests over paper leaks at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The STF will be headed by the Crime Branch DCP, with overall supervision by the special commissioner of police.
