PhonePe appoints Srijon Biswas as new CTO

PhonePe appointed Srijon Biswas as CTO, leading the engineering organisation.

Biswas was previously leading engineering across multiple teams and helped scale operations to millions of users.

He reports to Rahul Chari, who became CPTO and oversees technology, product, trust & safety, data sciences, and customer experience.

Rahul Chari said the appointment supports investment in engineering excellence for digital India.

PhonePe has over 70 crore registered users and 5 crore merchants, with offerings including payments, lending, Share.Market, and Indus Appstore.
