Rohit Sharma fires but India fold at Lord's, finish tour with just one win

Rohit Sharma scored 138 off 110 balls, becoming the first Indian to hit an ODI hundred at Lord's, but India lost to England by 27 runs.

India finished the tour with only one win, and head coach Gautam Gambhir suffered a T20I whitewash against Ireland.

Shubman Gill has not won a series since taking over the ODI captaincy from Rohit Sharma in October 2025.

India lost three of their last four ODI series, and their bowling attack struggled without Jasprit Bumrah, who sat out with an impact injury.

Ben Duckett (141) and Jacob Bethell (91) helped England post 388, with Jos Buttler finishing unbeaten on 41 off 13 balls.
