'Threw slipper, carried a knife': What we know about the attack on Pappu Yadav

Independent MP Pappu Yadav's press conference in Delhi was disrupted when a confrontation broke out between his supporters and a group of men.

Yadav's media convenor alleged that one attacker hurled a slipper and another drew a knife, and the convenor was beaten severely while shielding Yadav.

A supporter of Yadav sustained a finger graze from the knife while instinctively trying to protect the MP.

The convenor accused Delhi Police of not intervening to protect Yadav and of focusing on taking the alleged attackers away.

The convenor alleged the attackers aimed to replicate the 2023 killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother in Prayagraj, calling it 'Prayagraj Part Two'.
